Local Forums
The purpose of these forums is to ensure all grain growers and grains industry stakeholders have the opportunity to engage directly with GRDC staff, panel and RCSN members and to have their say regarding the most important constraints and opportunities to the profitability of growers in the region. The aim is to validate the relevance of constraints and opportunities to grains profitability identified through existing GRDC networks; to identify any additional issues of equal or greater importance; and to provide an increased awareness of GRDC investments addressing important issues.
The overall intent of the series of forums is to ensure grain growers and industry stakeholders are confident that the most important constraints and opportunities to the profitability of grain growers in the Southern Region are being captured by the GRDC in a timely and transparent manner and to provide an increased awareness of the GRDC investments addressing key issues relevant to the profitability of growers.
These short forums will be held across the low, medium and high rainfall zones of the GRDC Southern Region. Meeting locations will focus upon regional towns where GRDC events have been less frequently held in the past in order to attract a diverse cross section of attendees, including those growers who may not regularly engage with GRDC directly or through existing GRDC networks.
